RAIPUR: The opposition Congress is leading in 20 seats in Chhattisgarh, while the ruling BJP is ahead on 17 constituencies, as per initial trends of counting for the state Assembly elections.

The constituencies in which Congress is leading include Kharsiya, Kota, Dantewada and Bhanupratappur, as per state election commission office.

The BJP is currently ahead on Raipur city (South), Rajnandgaon, the constituency of Chief Minister Raman Singh and Raipur city (West).
