Assembly elections 2013: Shivraj Singh Chouhan takes big leads in Budhni and Vidisha

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is leading over his Congress rivals in both Budhni and Vidisha constituencies by huge margins.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is leading over his Congress rivals in both Budhni and Vidisha constituencies by huge margins.

Chouhan, looking comfortably poised to continue as Chief Minister for the third consecutive term, is leading by 36,297 votes over his Congress rival Mahendra Singh Chouhan in Budhni.

He is ahead by 16,124 votes in Vidisha where Congress' Shashank Bhargava is trailing.

Chouhan is a sitting MLA from Budhni. He had represented Vidisha five times in the Lok Sabha. The seat is now held by Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj.
