Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was leading from the Ladwa seat in Kurukshetra district, while Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda held a comfortable lead in the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency in Rohtak district.
BJP leader Anil Vij maintained his lead from the Ambala Cantt seat. Meanwhile, INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala was ahead in the Ellenabad constituency. Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala’s son, Aditya Surjewala, was leading from Kaithal.
Congress-NC Alliance Ahead in J&K
In Jammu and Kashmir, the trends from 74 of the 90 seats showed the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance ahead in 39 seats. The BJP was leading in 25 seats, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was ahead in six. Three seats were classified under 'others.'Before the vote count began in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP state unit president Ravinder Raina performed a 'yagya' on Tuesday morning. He expressed confidence that the party would secure a majority and form a government, possibly with support from Independent candidates.
