Assange to appeal against extradition: Lawyer

"We will be appealing," his main lawyer Geoffrey Robertson told Belmarsh Magistrates Court in southeast London after judge Howard Riddle handed down his ruling.

LONDON: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will appeal against a decision by a British judge that he can be extradited to Sweden to face rape allegations, his lawyer said Thursday.

"We will be appealing," his main lawyer Geoffrey Robertson told Belmarsh Magistrates Court in southeast London after judge Howard Riddle handed down his ruling.
