​Assam’s forest man Yadav Payeng to participate in IIM Shillong’s Sixth Annual International Conference on Sustainability

GUWAHATI: Assam’s forest man, Yadav Payeng who single handedly created 1,360 acres of dense forest will participate in IIM Shillong’s Sixth Annual International Conference on Sustainability,

SusCon VI, three-day conference will be inaugurated on March 2 in the presence of Shankar Venkateswaran, Chief of Tata Sustainability Group, and Padma Shree Jadav Payeng.

According to IIM, “With ‘Learning, Living and Leading’ as the central theme, this year’s edition looks to underscore the significance of holistic development models in the age of consumerism.”

SusCon 2017 is expected to witness scores of paper-presentations by renowned researchers from all over the globe.

IIM added, “Leveraging the unique expertise of IIM Shillong as a pioneer in the movement for Sustainability, the annual conference seeks to provide a global, multi-disciplinary platform for dialogues and questions on the vital issue of Sustainable Development.”

IIM further stated with over 30 sub-themes ranging from Green Marketing to Sustainable Finance and Green Manufacturing, this year’s conference will present a unique learning opportunity for aspiring researchers and academicians alike.
