GUWAHATI: Assam Governor PB Acharya has assured the state’s BJP unit that allegations of financial lapses will be taken up with ministers concerned. The Governor assured the party that officials found guilty will be treated as per the law.

A delegation of 40 BJP members, led by state unit president Siddhartha Bhattacharjee, had marched to the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum to Acharya alleging serious financial lapses and scams relating to schools, hospitals, roads. They also mentioned deteriorating law and order situation, insecurity among women and lapses in central government-funded welfare projects.
