Assam violence: Ernakulam-Guwahati Express cancelled

CHENNAI: The Ernakulam-Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Ernakulam was cancelled today as fresh violence rocked the trouble-torn Bodoland Territorial Administered districts in Assam.

A Southern Railway press release said the service has been cancelled due to "deteriorating law and order situation and heavy disruption of traffic" in Kokrajhar region.
