The Congress-led government in Assam has decided to set up an innovation centre in memory of former president APJ Abdul Kalam.

GUWAHATI: The Congress-led government in Assam has decided to set up an innovation centre in memory of former president APJ Abdul Kalam.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said the centre will help engage the young minds of Assam and other north-eastern states in entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity.

“The proposed centre named after the great scientist, super human being and a teacher par excellence would help to ignite the young minds towards entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, thus helping to transform the lives of the common man and bringing smiles on their faces,” Gogoi said.
