Assam takes to Gujarat model of Gunotsav to improve quality of education
The programme of Gunotsav will be conducted from April 4 to 7, 2017 will cover 9, 11,588 children of 12,320 schools of eight districts of the state in the first phase.

Addressing the MLAs of Barpeta, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Hailakandi, Kamrup (Metro), Lakhimpur, Morigaon and West Karbi Anglong in an orientation programme of ‘Gunotsav’ held on Wednesday, Sonowal stated that such an initiative would be a major contribution of the MLAs for ensuring quality in elementary education and improvement of children’s learning outcomes.
The programme of Gunotsav will be conducted from April 4 to 7, 2017 will cover 9, 11,588 children of 12,320 schools of eight districts of the state in the first phase.
It is expected that learning gap of each of the students studying in primary schools will be properly assessed, reading, writing and numerical ability of students will be improved.
