GUWAHATI: CBI on Thursday quizzed Assam Pradesh Congress president Anjan Dutta in connection with the Saradha scam.
This is the second time Dutta has been quizzed by CBI in Kolkata. Former minister Dutta had entered into a business deal with Saradha group CMD, Sudipta Sen. "CBI sought some data relating to my transaction in connection with printing of 'Sakalbela' newspaper which was owned by Saradha group. A written statement in this regard will be filled with CBI," Dutta told ET.

CBI has already interrogated former Assam minister and leader of dissident camp, Himanta Biswa Sarma. Last year, former Director General of police (DGP) Shankar Baruah shot himself in Guwahati. CBI had raided Baruah's house in connection with the multicrore Saradha chit fund scam.

CBI has arrested former Union minister and media baron Matang Sinh and Sadananda Gogoi, former secretary of Assam publication board in Saradha ponzi scheme case.
