Director Dhirendra Ojha in astatement stated that the commission has verified the facts and has received areport from I-T department.

Assam polls: Election commission takes action against Raghavendra Singh
GUWAHATI: Election commission of India has withdrawn expenditure observer Raghavendra Singh from Kamrup Metro election district and instructed the controlling authority to initiate suitable department action against him. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Anjan Dutta has lodged protest with the Election commission.

Director Dhirendra Ojha in astatement stated that the commission has verified the facts and has received areport from I-T department. Ojha added that expenditure observer deployed by the commission had activated the flying squad as part of follow up action, following the information received from the Income tax department. -
