Assam inks MOU for logistic hub in Guwahati and development of integrated check post in Sutarkandi

The Assam government has inked a Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for development of a Multi-Modal Logistic Hub (MMLH) in Guwahati and for development of Integrated Check Post in Sutarkandi.

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has inked a Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for development of a Multi-Modal Logistic Hub (MMLH) in Guwahati and for development of Integrated Check Post in Sutarkandi.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari said, “These initiatives will give a definite and sustainable push to the development of Assam, making the Act East Vision a reality.”

Assam Minister for Transport, Industries and Commerce, Chandra Mohan Patowary said, “The convergence of development in infrastructure sector and development of Multi-Modal Logistic Hub will promote trade and commerce and bring Assam at the centre of India South East Asia interface.”


The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, organised the ‘India Integrated Logistic Summit’ from May 3-5, 2017 in New Delhi. The summit brought all stakeholders together, including state governments, multilateral agencies, industries and private sectors.
