Assam govt run by Congress deserters: TMC's Lok Sabha MP Mohua Moitra

Trinamool Congress' Lok Sabha MP from West Bengal Mohua Moitra on Wednesday said Assam government is run by Congress deserters.

Buoyed by fresh joining of leaders All India Trinamool Congres (AITC) organized a programme in Guwahati where over 100 people joined the ruling party of West Bengal.

Moitra said, " Prime Minister is busy with celebrating Hanuman Jayanti but he is maintaining silence on price rise. No party in the country had played the role of responsible opposition like the Trinamool Congress. The prices of essential commodities as well as the petrol and diesel are increasing and yet there is no protest over it. If Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot check the price rise who can?"


Staying that Trinamool Congress will lead opposition forces, she said, " "If the opposition is united, the BJP is sure to lose the 2024 Lok Sabha elections," she added.

Former state unit president and former mp Rajya sabha Ripun Bora recently joined TMC.
