Governor of Assam, P B Acharya has written to R.K Paul, Chairman of Assam Public Service Commission regarding the functioning of APSC.

GUWAHATI: Governor of Assam, P B Acharya has written to R.K Paul, Chairman of Assam Public Service Commission regarding the functioning of APSC.

The Governor said that the Institution has become the center of controversies over its selection process.

Governor added it is high time to bring transparency in the system and remove the trust deficit which the institution has been experiencing.

"Creating good governance in an institution may lead to the reputation and high respect by the society, it added. It also directed to prepare a roadmap for the improvement of the existing system urgently to address the issues and submit to him."

Earlier congress government had to face ire of several organisations and governor over the functioning of APSC. There are allegations that some exams conducted by the Apsc has severe anamolies.
