Assam Governor calls for making Scouts and Guides movement dynamic

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor PB Acharya today urged the people make the Scouts and Guides movement dynamic and not allow it to stagnate.

"Scouts and Guides must grow with discipline and help the poor so that the movement can move forward," the Governor said while presenting the state awards to Bharat Scouts and Guides at the Raj Bhawan here.

He appealed to all to build a strong (Shashakt), prosperous (Samriddh) and peaceful (Shantimay) India and said "We must progress in all spheres."

"For India to progress, the North East must progress," the Governor said.

Acharya also thanked the authorities of the Scouts and Guides Association for teaching the students excellent discipline.

Altogether 290 certificates were awarded by the Governor to the Scouts and Guides from all over Assam.
