Assam government to probe nexus of JMB operative and politician

GUWAHATI: Assam government will soon initiate probe to investigate nexus between the Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh ( JMB) key operative Shahnur Alam and one of the prime accused in Burdwan blast case and politicians.

Shahnur was arrested last week by NIA and Assam police. Assam chief minister said that he has seen media reports of Shahnur having connection with politician. We are going to probe this matter as I do not rule out the nexus. “

Gogoi said there are instances when people come to India have overstayed their visa period. Till now police have arrested ten JMB operative in the state.
