Assam Congress files police case against BJP over 'AI videos'

The complaint was filed in Dispur police station. Party's spokesperson Bedabrata Bora said that AI-generated videos are targeting to communally divide Assam. This has come ahead of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) polls scheduled for September 22.
The Congress urged police to impose relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, including 109 (Abetment), 196 (Promoting enmity between different groups), 197 (Assertions prejudicial to national integration), and 299 (Deliberate and malicious acts to outrage religious feelings), among others.
The videos in circulation in social media alleging threat from illegal immigrants, and AI-generated images depicting "Muslims taking over Guwahati, the airport and stadium.
