"Party's condition will never improve if Rahul Gandhi continues to lead the party," Kurmi told reporters after submitting his resignation to the Assembly Speaker on Friday. “We have opposed alliance with All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) in the recently held Assembly polls and see Congress suffered a humiliating defeat due to alliance in Upper Assam.”
