GUWAHATI: Assam CM Tarun Gogoi has ruled out retirement from politics, declaring that he will contest the assembly elections due next year.

A combative Gogoi on Wednesday even ruled out alliance with AIUDF or any other party, saying the Congress will form the government in the state on its own.

Alongside listing his government’s achievements over the last 14 years, the 79-year-old CM criticised the PM PM Narendra Modi for not raising the issue of stapled visa to people from Arunachal Pradesh during his recent visit to China.

Congress party is now working on a action plan to counter BJP’s mission 84-plus in Assam.
