Gogoi rebuffed Rathore’s remark that the Chief Minister was conspicuous by his absence in the launching programme of three Central Government schemes.

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has locked horn with union minister of state for information and broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore .

Gogoi rebuffed Rathore’s remark that the Chief Minister was conspicuous by his absence in the launching programme of three Central Government schemes at Guwahati.

Gogoi said that he did not receive any letter requesting him to be present at the launching programme and as per protocol the Chief Minister is required to be present at any programme when the Prime Minister visits the State.

The Chief Secretary represented the State Government in the programme. The Chief Minister also reiterated that his government is all for extending cooperatiaon between the Centre and State in the interests of the people.

Rathore was in Assam last week to lunch Centre,s programme insurance programme.
