Assam CM Tarun Gogoi falls ill

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi suddenly fell sick in Upper Assam's Tinsukia. A team of doctors from Assam Medical College are attending to him. Officials in chief ministers' office told ET, "While addressing party workers in Tinsukia, he suddenly complained of discomfort."

Officials said that doctors are trying to ascertain the cause and said there is nothing to worry.

Gogoi, 81, underwent two bypass surgeries in 2010.
