Assam Accord Panel to seek no further extension, submit report by Feb 15

GUWAHATI: Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sarma, chairman of 14-member panel on Clause 6 of Assam Accord, said the committee would seek no further extension and would submit its recommendation by February 15. The committee held its meeting in Guwahati on Tuesday to give final touches to the recommendation.

The meeting was attended by Ministry of Home Affairs’ joint secretary (northeast) Satyendra Garg and All Assam Students Union chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya, besides other members.
