Asia Cup: Pakistan wins toss, elects to bat against India

Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss on Thursday and elected to bat first against archrival India in the last Group B match of the Asia Cup.

KARACHI: Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss on Thursday and elected to bat first against archrival India in the last Group B match of the Asia Cup.

Pakistan named an unchanged side from the one that beat Hong Kong by 155 runs in the opening game Tuesday.

India made two changes from the side that beat Hong Kong by 256 runs Wednesday. Paceman Ishant Sharma and Yuvraj Singh replaced Manpreet Gony and Robin Uthappa.

Both teams had already qualified for the Super Four stage after beating minnow Hong Kong _ the third team in their group.

Whosoever wins today's match will carry forward two points to the next round.
