ASF asks Arunachal govt to extend basic facilities in colleges

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Student's Federation (ASF) has requested the state government to streamline the education sector by strictly implementing the RTE Act and providing all necessary facilities at schools and colleges - both government and private - in the state.

The federation submitted a representation to the education minister today, in which it also sought introducing music, sports engineering medical, etc, institutes, besides shifting the CBSE office from Guwahati to Itanagar, and expediting the establishment of the government law college at Jote.

The college was sanctioned during 2008-09 and was supposed to be completed within three years.

However, work on it is half-complete even after five years, the ASF said.
