Ascertain who ordered the shift: Manish Sisodia to Amit Shah

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Sisodia said, "We did not take any decision to shift Rohingya Muslims to flats. The Centre also says it didn't. Then who did it," Sisodia asked and demanded strict action against those behind the decision.

Sniffing a political opportunity in the confusion created by Union minister Hardeep Puri's congratulatory tweets on shifting of Rohingya refugees, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has written to Union home minister Amit Shah to ascertain who had taken the decision to give EWS flats to the persecuted community.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Sisodia said, "We did not take any decision to shift Rohingya Muslims to flats. The Centre also says it didn't. Then who did it," Sisodia asked and demanded strict action against those behind the decision.

Sisodia claimed the home ministry came out with a clarification on the issue on Wednesday only after Puri's tweets on the move to shift Rohingyas was opposed by the Aam Aadmi Party and others.

Sisodia said the decision to shift the Rohingyas to EWS flats in Bakkarwala was being done at the behest of the Centre.
