Asaram should surrender before law: Ambika Soni
JAMMU: Flaying the attack on media persons allegedly by supporters of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who was accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl, Congress general secretary Ambika Soni today said the religious preacher should surrender himself before law.

"All those who are facing such allegations should surrender before law," she told reporters here.

There should be no leniency towards anybody, Soni said adding "such people should be punished."

"Crime against women will not be tolerated. Whosoever faces such allegations will be dealt with according to the law," she said.

On the attack on media persons in Jodhpur, Soni said "when somebody indulges in violence it means he is on a weak wicket. Those who are on strong wickets do not indulge in violence."
