KOCHADHAMAN (KISHANGANJ): With its slogan "Ab milega sabko insaf, badlega Seemanchal Majlise ke saath (Everyone will get justice now, Seemanchal will change with Majlis)," Asadudddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen ( AIMIM) is trying to make its presence felt in all the assembly seats it has selected for its entry into Bihar via Seemanchal region.

Four of the six assembly constituencies that AIMIM has fielded its candidates in are part of the Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency and all of them have a sizeable Muslim population.

A vehicle fully covered with posters prominently displaying the pictures of both Asaduddin Owaisi and his younger brother Akbaruddin drew voters’ attention in Kochdhaman constituency (under Kishanganj district) on Saturday afternoon. AIMIM has fielded Akhtarul Imam, who has represented Kochadhaman seat twice in the past.

"He is speaking the truth and talking about our rights," said Mujaheed Aalam, a middle-aged native of Sontha. AIMIM’s presence in Kochadham has made the contest triangular and Owaisi has given ample time to the constituency to boost the prospects of his party candidate. While the BJP has fielded Abdur Rahman here, Master Mujahed is the JD (U) candidate.

"Akhtarul Imam is a known face and thus it is easy for AIMIM to reach voters in this constituency," said another voter, Jiyaur Rehman, at a tea stall in Kochadhaman.
