Arvinder Singh Lovely, Sahib Singh Verma's son win

Delhi Congress Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely has defeated BJP's Ramesh Chand Jain by nearly 16,000 votes in the Gandhi Nagar constituency.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Congress Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely has defeated BJP's Ramesh Chand Jain by nearly 16,000 votes in the Gandhi Nagar constituency.

While Aam Admi Party candidates from Ambedkar Nagar and Deoli have won their respective seats, former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma's son Parvesh has won the Mehrauli seat for BJP.

Congress' Prahlad Singh Swahney won the Chandni Chowk seat defeating BJP's Suman Kumar Gupta by over 8,000 votes.

In Ambedkarnagar constituency, AAP's Ashok Kumar defeated BJP candidate Khushi Ram Chunar by over 12,000 votes. Sitting Congress MLA Prem Singh, a former Speaker in Delhi assembly, came third.

AAP's Prakash won the Deoli seat defeating BJP's Gagan Rana while Congress MLA Arvinder Singh was pushed to third position.

In Moti Nagar, sitting BJP MLA Subhash Sachdeva won by over 16,000 votes defeating AAP's Kuldeep Singh Channa.

From Kalkaji, BJP's Harmeet Singh won by nearly 2,000 votes defeating his nearest rival Dharambir Singh of AAP. Sitting Congress MLA Subhash Chopra came third.

In Tughlakabad constituency, sitting BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri won by a margin of about 6,000 votes, defeating Sahi Ram Bahujan Samaj Party.
