Arvind Kejriwal to hold public meeting at Connaught Place to celebrate 100 days of AAP government

NEW DELHI: The AAP-led Delhi government will complete 100 days in office on Sunday. To mark the occasion, CM Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet ministers have invited the people of Delhi to speak their mind and share their views at Central Park in Connaught Place on Monday evening.

Kejriwal made this announcement on a micro-blogging site. He tweeted: "See u at Central Park in CP on 25th, mon (Monday) to discuss 100 days of our govt. Entire Delhi cabinet will be present. Do come." AAP functionaries will be using the social media extensively to spread the CM's message. All MLAs will attend the programme.

It is estimated that more than 4,000 people can attend the function. Screens will be put up at the venue so that people spread around the park can be part of the meeting. The CM, deputy CM Manish Sisodia and five ministers who make up the cabinet will be sitting at the atrium and people can write their questions on slips that will be passed on to the minister concerned by volunteers. The government sees this as a way to share its vision and gauge the public mood.

After assuming charge, Kejriwal had promised the residents of Delhi that unlike other political parties, his government would not reach out to the people after five years just to seek votes but will keep going to the masses regularly through the entire tenure.
