Arvind Kejriwal inaugurates water pipeline; slams previous Delhi governments
NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today slammed previous Delhi governments for not providing piped water in unauthorised colonies of the national capital and said that people received water supply within eight months of AAP coming to power.

Kejriwal, who inaugurated the supply of potable water through pipeline network in eight unauthorised colonies of Rithala in North-West Delhi today, said that his government is committed towards making potable water supply accessible to each household in Delhi.

"There was no water supply for the last 25 year...but the people (previous governments) who were controlling it (DJB) had no commitments. But when the government changed, people got water within 8 months," Kejriwal said addressing a public gathering here.

There was no derth of money with previous governments, but had wrong intention. Within next two years, we will make each government school and hospital better than private ones, the CM said.

"On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I am delighted to see that adequate water will now be available in the unauthorised colonies of Rithala. DJB has done a commendable job and their hard work is set to bring remarkable changes in the lives of the residents of these eight colonies," he said.

Commissioning of this UGR/BPS will benefit the 1.20 lakh people residing in Veer Singh Colony, Veer Singh Colony Extension, Budh Vihar Phase-II, Mange Ram Park Extension, Shyam Colony, Harsh Dev Park, Mange Ram Park and Budh Vihar Phase-I and Phase-II Sharma Colony. DJB catered to the longstanding demands of the residents of these areas.
