Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav meet in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Akhilesh Yadav here, and the two leaders are believed to have discussed issues like ownserhip of land in Okhla village.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Akhilesh Yadav here, and the two leaders are believed to have discussed issues like ownserhip of land in Okhla village and pollution.

Kejriwal and Akhilesh met for around 45 minutes at the Uttar Pradesh Sadan.

The two chief ministers are said to have discussed the contentious land issue connected with the Okhla village.

The dispute between the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh governments relates to ownership of 214 bighas of land. Delhi government intends to acquire the land for the expansion of the Jamia Milia Islamia University.

However, both the chief ministers refused to comment on the issue.

The two are believed to have also spoken about the National Thermal Power Corporation in Dadri, at a time when the Delhi government is gearing up to take steps to combat pollution.
