ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh legislative Assembly Speaker Nabam Rebia today urged neighbouring Assam government to stop construction of a beat house at Ragaso border village under Taraso circle of Papum Pare district.

Urging Assam to maintain status quo of the agreements signed between the two neighbours along disputed areas, Rebia said "The Supreme Court has also been hearing the report of single-man local boundary commission on Assam-Arunachal inter-state boundary disput."

Rebia, who represents Doimukh Assembly constituency under which Taraso falls, expressed hope the situation will continue to be normal in the areas since the initiative between the two states.
