Arunachal Pradesh schemes for labourers
The Arunachal Pradesh Govt has mooted several schemes for the welfare of the labourers in the state, CM Nabam Tuki told the assembly.

Revision of monetary ceilings of statutory financial assistance to the workers employed in building and construction work had been approved by the state government and a notification would be issued by the labour and employment department after getting necessary vetting of the notification by the law department, Tuki, who is also in charge of the labour department, said in reply to a question from Congress member Tesam Pongte.
As per the revised rates, the maternity benefit for labourers has been fixed at Rs 1000, disability pension (Rs 1000 per month), advance for purchase of construction of house (Rs one lakh), tools loan (Rs 15,000), funeral assistance (Rs 1000), accidental death benefit to the tune of Rs one lakh, the chief minister said.
Moreover, he said, medical assistance up to 15,000 in normal case and up to 25,000 in case of accident would be provided besides education assistance which would cover total education fees or as may be decided by the Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APBOCWWB).
"Marriage assistance to the tune of ten thousand has also been fixed by the state government," he added.
