Arunachal Pradesh: Abducted employees make appeal to Assam and Bihar CMs to secure their release

In a video message Ram Kumar and Pranab Kumar Gogoi (51) stated that they are held captive by the ULFA-Independent and NSCN for nearly a month now and pleaded the state government to secure their release.

Guwahati: Two abducted employees engaged in private oil company has appealed to the chief ministers of Assam and Bihar to secure their release.

It is more than a month that these employees of company were abducted by anti-talk ULFA also known as ULFA (Independent) for ransom.

In a video message Ram Kumar and Pranab Kumar Gogoi (51) stated that they are held captive by the ULFA-Independent and NSCN for nearly a month now and pleaded the state government to secure their release.


On December 21 last year militants kidnapped employees of the private company from the drilling site in Innao area of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

An official who do not want to named said that militants want Rs 20 crore each for the release of two persons.

Kumar is from Khagaria district of Bihar while Gogoi is from Assam. Police and army is making efforts to secure their release.
