Arunachal Governor Meets NSA Ajit Doval

The issue of infrastructure development for the border villages was given comprehensive consideration during the meeting.

GUWAHATI: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh BD Mishra met National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval in New Delhi on Thursday and discussed border development programmes and reviewed the border safety management.

Arunachal Pradesh is India's frontier sharing international border with China, Myanmar and Bhutan. He also met Union home secretary Rajeev Gauba to discuss the possibility of soil testing of border villages to assess the possibility of growing Akhrot (walnut) and Chilgoza (pine nut).

The Governor apprised them of security environment in the border State of Arunachal Pradesh. The issue of infrastructure development for the border villages was given comprehensive consideration and the officers concerned with the border development process were directed to prepare well thoughtout plan for each village in a time bound manner.


According to Raj Bhavan statement, “The border villages, which are collocated or closely located with army or ITBP (Indo-Tibetan border police) posts will also be integrated in the plan and will be given their appropriate priority.”
