After effecting change in secretary and deputy commissioner level, services of Advocate General Ranji Thomas and Additional Advocate General, R.H. Nabam is terminated.

Arunachal governor appoints Sishir Dutta as the new Advocate General
GUWAHATI: With imposition of President Rule in Arunachal Pradesh the shake up in the administration continues. After effecting change in secretary and deputy commissioner level administration, services of Advocate General Ranji Thomas and Additional Advocate General, R.H. Nabam is terminated.

According to an official communiqué from Rajbhavan, Sishir Dutta, Senior Advocate of Gauhati High Court is the new Advocate General of Arunachal Pradesh. “In exercise of powers conferred by Article 165 (1) of the Constitution of the India, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh has appointed Dutta as the Advocate General for the State of Arunachal Pradesh on February 3, 2016.”

The Governor also appointed Anil Srivastav as Additional Advocate General-cum-Standing Counsel for Arunachal Pradesh in the Supreme Court of India. Srivastav will represent for the State in appeals, review, revisions and miscellaneous cases before the Supreme Court and Gauhati High Court.
