Arunachal government to sponsor 10 cadets in NDA

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has announced that the state government would sponsor 10 cadets from the state in the NDA.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has announced that the state government would sponsor 10 cadets from the state in the National Defence Academy (NDA), a Raj Bhawan communiqué said here today. Sharma expressed confidence that the initiative would encourage youths of the state to join the NDA.

Recalling his joining to NDA in 1963, Sharma said cadets joined here from different social, economic and regional background but it never came in the way of mingling.

Stating that NDA has immensely contributed to the nation as the premier joint training institution, he said the cadets would live up to the standards set for them and do the country proud. He was speaking at a programme commemorating the Golden Jubilee of the 29th course of NDA, to which he belonged, in Khadakwasla near Pune, on Monday.
