Arunachal CM allocates portfolio to ministers

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul allocated portfolios to his two deputy chief ministers and five cabinet ministers who were inducted in his council of ministers.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul today allocated portfolios to his two deputy chief ministers and five cabinet ministers who were inducted in his council of ministers on March 5.

Deputy Chief Minister Kameng Dolo has been allocated the Home department along with Rural Development and Panchayati Raj besides Textile and Handicraft, an official statement said.

Chowna Mein, the other deputy chief minister, got PWD, Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Social Justice Empowerment and Tribal Affairs besides Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, the statement said.

Among the cabinet ministers, Kumar Waii was allocated the portfolios of Agriculture and Labour and Employment, while Wangling Lowangdong was given the departments of Education, Parliamentary Affairs and Department of Tirap, Changlang and Longding (DoTCL).

Kamlung Mossang was allocated Water Resources Development, Mines and Trade and Commerce while Lombo Tayeng got the Public Health Engineering and Water Supply and Libraries.

Tenzing Norbu Thongdok has been allotted the department of Power and Non Conventional Energy Resources besides Research, it said.

All the departments which were not allotted to any of the deputy chief ministers and the cabinet ministers would remain with the chief minister.

Pul was sworn in as the ninth Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on February 19 after President's Rule was revoked. He expanded his ministry by inducting these seven ministers on March 5.
