As every year, the fourth edition of GBS, presented by The Economic Times and YES Bank, will see heavyweights from the political and business establishment speak on a wide variety of subjects of contemporary interest.
NEW DELHI: Three key ministers from the Narendra Modi cabinet, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal, will be in the star cast of speakers at the February 23-24 Global Business Summit (GBS), which will see the PM deliver the keynote address.

As every year, the fourth edition of GBS, presented by The Economic Times and YES Bank, will see heavyweights from the political and business establishment speak on awide variety of subjects of contemporary interest, as well as addresses by global business leaders, noted academics, thinkers and management gurus from India and abroad.

The three ministers speaking at GBS have the most important economic administration jobs in Team Modi. Finance minister Jaitley, fresh from a Budget that made a clear, unapologetic case for targeted and higher social spending to make growth more inclusive, is also the man shepherding the evolution of the GST regime.

Road transport and shipping minister Gadkari, credited with putting life back in the national highway construction project, oversees one of the world’s largest infrastructure efforts, which must succeed if India’s economic transformation is to be meaningful.

And railways minister Goyal, who came into this job from his successful stint as power minister, is responsible for turning around the world’s largest rail network.
