Arun Jaitley enrolls himself as BJP's 'active member'

GANDHINAGAR: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley visited Gujarat BJP's headquarters here today and enrolled himself as an "active member" under the party's ongoing membership enrollment drive.

Jaitley was here to attend a connference on 'Regulatory Framework for IFSC in India' at Mahatma Mandir, according to a BJP press release.

After the conference, he visited the party's state headquarters where he was welcomed by Gujarat BJP vice president I K Jadeja, Rajya Sabha MP Mansukh Madavia and several other senior leaders, the release said.

After taking a round of the recently-built BJP office, Jaitley filled up the BJP membership form to become an "active member", the release said.

Jaitley is a Rajya Sabha member of BJP from Gujarat.
