Article 370 would have gone if Atal govt had majority: BJP

BJP today said if Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led BJP government had absolute majority, then the article 370 would have been revoked.

JAMMU: Reiterating its demands for scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP today said if Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led BJP government had absolute majority, then the article would have been revoked.

"Article 370 should go, people did not get anything from it, rather it (the article) has only taken away from you," BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said, during a two-day long seminar organised by Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) here.

If BJP, under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee had absolute majority, Article 370 would have been scrapped from the state, Hussain added.
