Army jawan injured in accidental fire in Jammu & Kashmir

POONCH: An army jawan was injured in an accidental fire while cleaning his service rifle here, police said here today.

Sepoy Gurpreet Singh received bullet injures on his hand when two bullets went off from his service rifle while cleaning it at Sonawali Gali post in Mendhar area of the district yesterday, they said.

Initially admitted at a local army hospital, the sepoy was later referred to the Military Hospital at Rajouri for specialized treatment, they added.
