GUWAHATI: Army chief general Dalbir Singh Suhag on Saturday reviewed his forces’ operations against the banned militant outfit National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit faction), which has orchestrated the massacre of adivasis in Assam, calling for greater synergy intelligence units and security agencies to prevent such incidents. He visited the violence-hit areas to take stock of the security situation prevailing in the state. Around 81 persons were killed in militant and retaliatory attacks by adivasis. —
