Army Chief Bikram Singh talks tough, says Pakistan's aggression will be met with befitting reply
Bikram Singh said that multi-level attempts are being made at creating thaw in the Indo-China relationship.

"Attempts are on to ensure that the ceasefire agreement is adhered to", said Singh. "This contention that Indian Army did not act is wrong. Soldiers reacted well wherever it was required," he said.
According to Singh, India's rules of engagement are based on those followed by a civilized society. "If rules are followed by our neighbors, we follow them too. If rules are broken, we won't sit on it, we will break them too," Singh said.
Addressing a news conference in Delhi, Singh said that multi-level attempts are being made at creating thaw in the Indo-China relationship. "There is inadequacy at the moment," Singh said on infrastructure development along Indo-China LAC.
Commenting on Monday's ceasefire violation, Singh said, "Today's ceasefire violation in KG sector is the first after the DGMOs meet. I have asked our DGMO to take up the matter with Pakistan counterpart."
