Apollo hospital releases statement on Jayalalithaa, says she continues to be 'very critical'

NEW DELHI: In a statement released, Apollo hospital said AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa continues to be in a " very critical" condition. "She is on critical life support system and is being constantly monitored by a team of experts," the hospital said.

Earlier, the party spokesperson said the TN chief minister's health "was improving". According to reports, her treatment is slow because she is a diabetic.

The hospital is expected to release a detailed report at 5 pm today.
