Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party on Wednesday released its party manifesto promising to strive for the restoration of statehood, promise of 500 units of free electricity and withdrawal of cases against the youth.

The party has been facing a lot of desertions, especially after most of its candidates lost in the recent Lok Sabha elections as their detractors labelled them as "B team" of BJP.

Party general secretary Rafi Mir, who released the manifesto in the absence of party chief Altaf Bukhari, clarified that the party was neither affiliated with the BJP in the past nor is it connected with the BJP at present. He clarified that the party won't form any alliance with any party in the region.

"The party is committed to ensuring peace, stability, and prosperity in J&K, as well as the restoration of all its constitutional rights, including statehood. We will restore all the laws amended after August 2019 that have disempowered the people of J&K," said Mir.
