APHC to hear SEBI plea tomorrow; SRSR GM sent to police custody
The Andhra Pradesh High Court will tomorrow hear a writ petition filed by market regulator SEBI questioning denial of permission by a lower court to quiz Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju.
The court adjourned the petition for hearing tomorrow when it came up today.
SEBI had earlier moved the 6th additional chief metropolitan magistrate seeking permission to quiz the Raju brothers with focus on insider trading.
Meanwhile, the magistrate sent SRSR general manager Gopal Krishna Raju to police custody for 30 hours from 1000 hrs tomorrow.
Gopal Krishna headed SRSR, through which Ramalinga Raju held stake in Satyam Computer.
The magistrate also reserved orders on the bail petitions of sacked Price Waterhouse representatives S Goapalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri for February 2.
