Hyderabad: The state cabinet on Monday decided to recommend 33% reservation for BCs in legislative bodies. The recommendation will be made to the Centre which has to give the go-ahead . The move is aimed at wooing BC voters, besides countering the possible impact of megastar Chiranjeevi���s entry into politics on the Congress party���s electoral prospects.
The state government will introduce a special resolution in the ensuing winter session of the Assembly, requesting the Centre to take the necessary steps to provide 33% reservation for BCs in legislative bodies.
