AP CM's chopper goes missing
HYDERABAD: A helicopter carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy on Wednesday went missing on its way to Chittoor district.

The helicopter took off from here earlier in the day. An army chopper has been despatched to comb the forest area of Kurnool district where it is believed to have disappeared.

The Chief Minister took off by the state government chopper at 8.45 am and was supposed to land in Chittoor at 10.40 am.

However, the helicopter soon lost all radio contact. The state machinery swung into action to trace the missing chopper and Chittoor district collector and other top officials frantically tried to establish contact with the Chief minister's aides accompanying him.

All the police stations in Kurnool district were put on high alert and police parties despatched to locate the missing helicopter.
