CHENNAI: Anti-nuclear activists S P Udayakumar and Jesuraj, who recently joined the Aam Aadmi Party in Tamil Nadu, have sought tickets to contest the Lok Sabha election, a top state unit party leader said today.

AAP convener Christina Samy said there was a possibility of them getting nominated to contest the polls, but no decision had been taken yet.

Udayakumar, the Co-ordinator of People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy, which spearheaded the nearly three-year long protest against Kudankuluam Nuclear Power Plant in Tirunelveli district, and Jesuraj have expressed their keenness to contest the April 24 polls from southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

The AAP is yet to announce its strategy for the polls for Tamil Nadu.

Udayakumar and Jesuraj have said they were ready to sign "a contract" with the voters containing 20 promises, including right to recall them and not to take bribe.
